Household Hazardous Waste Day 2018

The LEPC (Local Emergency Planning Committee) is sponsoring Household Hazardous Waste Day on December 8, 2018 from 9am-1pm at the City of La Porte Public WorksService Center located at 2963 N 23rd St.

Residents can dispose of their Household Hazardous Waste including:
- brake fluid, paint thinner, paint, cleaners with acid or lye, pesticides or herbicides, household batteries, car batteries, pool chemicals, motor oil, oil filters, antifreeze
- household electronics waste (limit five items per vehicle) which includes: computer monitors, televisions, computer cpu’s, keyboards, printers, cellular phones, etc.
- white goods such as refrigerators, stoves, washing machines, water heaters
- tires up to 20” off the rim (limit six per household)
- flammables and corrosives
- empty propane gas cylinder up to 20 gallons (no other types of gas cylinders will be accepted)

The following items are not accepted:
- electronic waste and hazardous waste from businesses, explosives, ammunition, radioactive materials, trash, fire extinguishers, or controlled substances
