Juror Qualifications

Criteria

1. You must be at least 18 years of age.
2. You must be a citizen of this state and a resident of the county in which you are to serve as a juror.
3. You must be qualified under the Constitution and laws to vote in the county in which you are to serve as a juror.
4. You must be of sound mind and good moral character.
5. You must be able to read and write.
6. You must not have served as a juror for six days during the preceding three months in the county court or the preceding six months in the district court.
7. You must not have been convicted of theft or any felony.
8. You must not be under indictment or legal accusation of a misdemeanor theft, or a felony.
9. You must currently live within the city limits of La Porte.
