CITY COUNCIL

 

All powers of the city and the determination of all matters of policy shall be vested in city council.  Council shall execute the laws and administer the government of the city.  The mayor and the two (2) councilpersons-at-large shall be elected by a majority vote of the city at large.  The city shall be divided into six (6) districts, Districts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6, and one councilperson shall be elected from each district by majority vote of the resident voters of such district.  The mayor and councilpersons shall each hold their respective offices for a term of three (3) years and until their successors shall have been elected and duly qualified.
