The City of La Porte Emergency Medical Service employees Texas Department of Health "CERTIFIED" or "LICENSED" Paramedics for full-time positions with a minimum of one (1) year experience and possession of/or ability to obtain ACLS and BTLS certifications.

The City of La Porte starts all entry level paramedics out at the rank of "Paramedic I" and offers a competitive salary with this entry level position starting at $42,614 and ending at $57,644. Shifts are 24 hours on and 48 hours off. Benefits include: Vacation, Sick leave, Paid holidays, Longevity pay, Medical/Dental/Vision plans, Certification pay, Uniform cleaning allowance, Employee Assistance Program, TMRS Retirement and Deferred Compensation plans.
