The EMS Education Resources Team assists in marketing and promoting EMS throughout Texas. This team is responsible for distributing accurate information concerning EMS issues to EMS personnel and increasing public awareness about EMS. Team members promote emergency medical services, injury prevention, use of the 9-1-1 system and education of EMS personnel. They inform EMS personnel about changes in EMS legislation, practices and educational requirements. They also provide forums for emergency personnel to discuss issues and roles in emergency medicine.
This team has developed three major avenues of EMS information distribution:
Texas EMS Magazine -- Your point of contact with the agency that regulates Texas EMS - Taking state and national EMS issues and answers to emergency medical services professionals serving in every capacity across Texas.

Texas EMS Conference 2005! -- Things are always bigger in Texas! In Austin November 20-23, 2005, the Texas EMS Conference 2005 will be the largest EMS conference in the nation! More than 200 vendors and more than 120,000 square feet of Exhibit Hall space will allow conference participants plenty of comparison shopping and networking opportunities! Approximately 120 workshops will offer attendees their choices of topics and the opportunity to earn up to 15 hours of continuing education. Many of your favorite speakers are being invited back, and there will be some new faces presenting breakout sessions this year. Scheduled during the weekend before the conference, November 19-21, Preconference Classes such as High Angle Rescue and 12-Lead Interpretation will increase the number of continuing education hours that can be gained, and give class participants even more of a learning experience.
