 The cities of La Porte, Morgan's Point, and Shoreacres use an Outdoor Warning System to notify citizens in the event of a chemical emergency.
Sirens are tested EVERY Saturday at NOON. If you hear a siren other than at this predetermined time, you should assume an emergency exists and Shelter In Place. During a chemical emergency, the City may activate the Outdoor Warning Siren. Once the threat has ended, an "all clear" siren will be sounded. Once the all clear siren has been issued, it is safe to go outside. Click on the various links below to hear an example of both the "Take Shelter" and "All Clear" sirens.
