Brookglen Spray Park Is Open - Pools Open June 9th For Summer!
The Brookglen Spray Park opened April 1st, and if you stop by on a pretty day you'll see it in use! The wave pool will begin opening on weekends starting May 24th, and all City pools will open on June 9th! Beginning May 1st, residents can rent one of the City pools before we invite the public. Reservations will be taken from 5:30am to 8:30pm, May 1st, and 8am to 8:30pm, May 2nd. This is your chance to book your event before rentals open to the public on May 5th!

Cook-Off, Easter Egg Hunt, & Shrimp Boil
The week of April 7 - 13 will be a busy one in La Porte! We have the La Porte Rodeo Association Livestock Show & Auction out at Lomax April 7th, 8th, and 10th. We also have the Easter Egg Hunt out at Little Cedar Bayou Park Saturday morning from 10-11 and Saturday afternoon we have the annual Shrimp Boil at the Noman Malone Senior Center. Police make arrest in La Porte Cold Case involving a pair of 1997 Murders
On Friday, January 31st, 2014, investigators with La Porte Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division assisted in the arrest of Gordon Craig Houser for the offense of Capital Murder. The arrest was the result of a January 16th Grand Jury sealed indictment for two separate counts of the offense and was recently featured on TNT's Cold Justice.
