
Got Waste? The City of La Porte will collect Household Hazardous Waste on Saturday, March 25 from 9 AM to 1 PM at the La Porte Public Works Service Center located at 2963 N 23rd St.
This is a free event for residents of La Porte, Morgan's Point, and Shoreacres.
Accepted:
- Brake Fluid, Paint Thinner, Paint, Cleaners with Acid or Lye, Pesticides or Herbicides, Household Batteries, Car batteries, Pool Chemicals, Motor Oil, Oil Filters, Antifreeze, Waste Gasoline
- Household Electronic Waste (Limit five items per vehicle) Includes:
- Computer Monitors, Televisions up to 27" screens, Computer CPUs, Keyboards, Printers, Cell Phones, Etc.
- Major Appliances:
- Stoves, Washing Machines, Water Heaters, Etc.
- Tires up to 20" off the rim (Limit 6 per household)
- Flammables & Corrosives
- Propane Gas Cylinders up to 20-pound tanks (No other types of gas cylinders will be accepted)
Not Accepted:
- Electronic Waste & Hazardous Waste from Businesses, Explosives, Ammunition, Radioactive Materials, Food Waste, Fire Extinguishers, or Controlled Substances.
