Back-to-School 

The La Porte Community Partners have once again teamed up and are preparing to assist the children returning to La Porte Independent School District for the 2023-2024 school year! With your help and the help of the community, all school-aged children can be equipped with the school supplies needed to have a successful educational career. 

A Back-to-School Community Giveaway will be hosted at Baker 6th Grade Campus on Saturday, August 05, 2023, from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm.  In preparation for the give-a-way, we invite you to help us “FILL THE BUS!”  The “FILL THE BUS” donation drive will be held on July 28, 2022, in the Kroger parking lot at 1300 W. Fairmont Parkway in La Porte.

We welcome the opportunity to partner with your business and/or organization to help with this endeavor. Our goal is to prepare up to 500 children with needed school supplies, including backpacks.  School supply items requested are: 

• Composition notebooks
• Mesh pencil bags
• Notebook paper
• Ticonderoga #2 pencils
• Fiskars Scissors 5’
• 2 inch-3 ring binders
• Colored pencils
• Blue pens
• Black pens
• Highlighters
• Kleenex

School Supplies Give-A-Way: 

To receive free school supplies and backpacks, families must register. Additionally, we will ask to verify enrollment with the La Porte Independent School District. If you are not yet registered with La Porte ISD, please indicate on this form.
