Application Requirements

Provide the following to the City Secretary's Office (at City Hall or send to CitySecretary@LaPorteTX.gov):

  1. Completed application and attachments it requests (legal documents, letters of reference, official IDs, etc.).
  2. Required fees listed in the table below.
  3. For non-stationary food sellers selling in residential areas (ice cream, frozen ice, frozen foods, etc.), a Harris County Public Health Department health permit must be provided. (Food truck requirements, for stationary food trucks, are at LaPorteTX.gov/FoodTrucks.)
  4. Non-stationary food sellers selling in residential areas (ice cream, frozen ice, frozen foods, etc.) must also schedule and pass a vehicle inspection with the City of La Porte Fire Marshal's Office (FireMarshal@LaPorteTX.gov).
  5. Vehicles using loudspeakers and/or playing amplified music must also acquire and keep current the $1/day amplification permit.
You will be contacted when the permit has been issued or if anything is needed in order to complete the process. You may check on the permit by contacting the City Secretary's Office at CitySecretary@LaPorteTX.gov or 281-470-5021.

Solicitor's Badges
$2/solicitor This badge must be worn by each solicitor going door-to-door. This fee is also refundable if the applicant does not qualify as a City solicitor.
